2017 Phoenix Plant Powered Run
Date: November 19,2017
Join the movement on Novemeber 19, 2017 in Phoenix and go the distance for farm animals. You can help outrun cruelty with compassion and inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals everywhere.
There are three ways to participate: a 5K Fun Run, and of course, a non-competitive Walk component just like our previous Walk for Farm Animals events. There is a place for everyone, no matter where you are on your personal journey. Join us as we work to create a more compassionate world for all.
After the Plant Powered Run, you can continue the compassionate celebration all day long at the NEW SouthWest Vegfest.
SouthWest Vegfest is a 100% free to the public non-profit festival with a focus on food, retail, entertainment, education and inspiration from the plant-based community of the SW region. Let’s face it; the benefits to leading a plant-based lifestyle are undeniable. SW VegFest celebrates health, environment, and animal welfare! So we thought we’d do something positive for the community and for the animals. All profits from SW VegFest 2017 will go to Farm Sanctuary, the nation’s largest and most effective farm animal rescue and protection organization. In fact, for the inaugural SW VegFest we will be partnering with the good folks over at Farm Sanctuary, co-coordinating the festival with their biggest event of the year, The Plant Powered Run and Walk for Farm Animals, which will be held before the festival.
Join us for the inaugural SW
VegFest in downtown Phoenix at the beautiful Steele Indian School Park. Learn
about our featured non-profit and enjoy local and national sponsors and
vendors, community outreach, youth (and adult) activities, fantastic food, think
tanks & discussions, and live music!
