The Factory Farm: From Breeding to Slaughter
The “Investigate” section of our Virtual Experience brings the suffering of animals who are exploited and killed for meat, milk and eggs to light, and is based on Farm Sanctuary's more than two decades worth of experience uncovering and documenting agribusiness abuses.  

This section includes graphic images and video, but we hope that you will explore it and share it with others. After all, the animals have no choice but to endure these conditions each and every day. 

The Sanctuary: A Place of Refuge
In contrast to factory farms, sanctuaries are havens where rescued animals are protected from cruelty and provided with loving care and a lifelong home. In the “Explore” section of the Virtual Experience, you can meet some of the animal ambassadors who have been rescued from abuse and found a home at sanctuary.  

Although this sanctuary experience is a digitally rendered one that doesn’t quite compare to the experience you can have when you meet these animals face-to-face at one of our shelters in California or New York, we hope that it can give you a glimpse into the bucolic and peaceful lives these animal ambassadors experience.  

We also hope that their stories give you a reason to embrace compassion with every choice you make.
