Thanks to your calls and e-mails, the Society of Gynecological Oncologists has informed Farm Sanctuary that they have canceled the "Pig Lab" that was scheduled to take place in conjunction with this week's surgical meeting.

Covidien, the bio-medical company conducting the pig lab, intended to mutilate live pigs in order to hawk their surgical tools. However, thanks to your phone calls and emails this lab has been canceled and a strong message has been sent to those in the medical field that the public will not tolerate such treatment of animals.

While this cruel pig lab has been canceled, according to the Society of Gynecological Oncologists, the practice of using live animals to demonstrate medical equipment is still legal. However, you can help! Please join Farm Sanctuary in taking the next step by acting to ban this practice.
