Dear
friend of farm animals,
With billions of farm animals enduring pain and suffering abuse on factory farms, Farm Sanctuary urgently needs your renewed support for 2010.
So please renew your membership now and make a life-saving difference for innocent cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, and other farm animals.
With your support last year, Farm Sanctuary was able to stand up to the egregiously cruel factory farm industry and come to the rescue of 454 animals in urgent need.
Today, I ask that you help us save even more animals in 2010 by renewing your annual support with the most generous contribution you can afford.
With your renewed commitment, Farm Sanctuary will continue leading the charge to:

Stop the slaughter of downed animals. Far too often animals who are sick, weak or injured due to the cruel factory farm conditions they were living in fall to the ground only to be dragged by their ears, prodded with electric shocks, pulled with chains, or even pushed with forklifts toward their gruesome deaths.
Last year, we achieved a crucial victory when President Barack Obama announced a new U.S. Department of Agriculture rule banning the slaughter of downed cattle for human consumption. This was a huge win for cattle – but it’s just the beginning. Now we need to extend that protection to all farm animals.
Enact anti-confinement legislation. We’re making progress! Victories in Florida, Arizona, California, Michigan, and Maine have poised Farm Sanctuary to push for anti-confinement legislation in even more states across the country. Your renewed support will help free egg-laying hens from battery cages, breeding pigs from gestation crates and calves from veal crates nationwide!

And, of course, when you renew your 2010 membership today, you are helping to ensure that Farm Sanctuary can rescue farm animals in crisis and care for the hundreds of animals at our two shelters.
We need you. The animals need you. Please continue your commitment to end cruelty to farm animals by renewing your annual support of Farm Sanctuary now.
Thank you!
Yours for farm animals,

Gene Baur President and Co-founder, Farm Sanctuary
P.S. You may soon receive your Farm Sanctuary 2010 member card. Please consider this as a thank you for your renewal gift and a symbol of your ongoing support for rescued animals like Arnold and Arthur, who are featured on this year’s card. Your contribution is tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Thank you for your compassion.
