Because of you, animals like Angelo, a newborn lamb rescued from a slaughterhouse-bound truck, have a chance at a happy and healthy life.  

But we can’t stop fighting for farm animal protection – not when there are other farm animals still being subjected to intolerable cruelty every day.

Farm Sanctuary is the nation's leading farm animal protection organization – and the only one that successfully combines rescue, education and advocacy efforts to save farm animals’ lives. We accomplished so much this year with your help. Because of you, cows in California will no longer be subjected to the cruel practice of tail docking. Because of you, battery cages for egg-laying hens, gestation crates for breeding pigs and veal crates for calves will be phased out in Michigan. Because of you, downed cattle can no longer be slaughtered for human consumption.  

I hope I can count on your help to build on these successes and put our 2010 plan into action to save more animals – especially now that every dollar you give by December 31 will triple in size and impact! That means your gift of $50 becomes $150 and your gift of $100 becomes $300 that will go directly to the animals.

In the year ahead, we have plans to take our No Downers Campaign to the next level, fighting for pigs and all species … to add to our tally of states that pass anti-confinement legislation … to maintain our state of the art shelter facilities and Education Centers in New York and California … to expand our national Farm Animal Adoption Network … and of course to be there when farm animals are in urgent need, suffering from cruelty and abuse.   

Our goals for 2010 are ambitious – because they need to be! As long as farm animals are being tortured and abused, Farm Sanctuary must be there – which is why we depend so urgently on your continued support.
